New doors, drawer fronts and hardware for Fox Valley kitchens, from older homes near the river to newer subdivisions. Visit the showroom or book a free in-home consultation.
Our showroom puts cabinet refacing in St. Charles, IL within easy reach of the whole Fox Valley. The river towns of St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia mix older homes near their downtowns with newer subdivisions farther out, and refacing works well in both.
In an older house, the kitchen has usually been updated more than once, and the cabinets may already be a later addition. If the boxes are sound, refacing gives them new doors, drawer fronts, veneer and hardware without disturbing the plaster, trim and flooring around them.
In newer homes the story is more often oak doors that have yellowed and hinges that have worn loose. The fix is the same; only the style choices change. See what’s included in cabinet refacing.
Stays in place: cabinet boxes, layout, walls, floors and plumbing
Replaced: doors, drawer fronts, hinges and hardware

Refacing in older Fox River homes
Character homes need a little extra care. This is what our designers and installers watch for.
Walls that aren’t square
Walls and ceilings shift over the decades. Fillers, end panels and trim are fitted on site so the finished cabinets look straight even when the room isn’t.
Doors that suit the house
Raised-panel doors in cherry or oak veneer sit comfortably with traditional woodwork, while painted Shaker doors suit simpler trim. Your designer can bring both so you can compare.
Keeping what works
The cabinet boxes, walls and floors stay put. That matters when the layout already works around tall windows, radiators or a back stair you can’t move.
Adding where it helps
Need more storage? We can add or replace individual cabinets, such as a pantry, and fit pull-outs and organizers inside the boxes you keep.

Can you reface cabinets in an older home near downtown St. Charles or Geneva?
Yes, as long as the cabinet boxes are sound. Your designer checks their condition during the consultation and will tell you plainly if one needs replacing; individual cabinets can be replaced as part of the job.
Do you charge to come out to Elburn or Campton Hills?
No. In-home consultations are free and without obligation across the Fox Valley, from Elgin down to Aurora and west to Elburn.
My kitchen has 1990s oak cabinets. Is refacing a good option?
Often, yes. Oak boxes from that era are usually solid, so new doors, veneer and soft-close hinges change both the look and the feel, typically for 30–50% less than comparable new cabinets. See refacing vs. replacing.
Can new cabinets match the woodwork elsewhere in my house?
We can usually get close. Real wood veneer comes in maple, cherry, oak and walnut with dozens of stains, and the showroom is a good place to compare them against photos of your trim and floors.
Which showroom is better if I live in Naperville or Wheaton?
Whichever is the easier drive; both show doors, finishes, countertops and hardware. The Wood Dale design center is our headquarters near O’Hare, and St. Charles is the closer choice for most of Kane County.
A designer comes to your home with door samples, finishes and hardware, measures your cabinets and leaves a written, itemized quote. It’s free, and there’s no pressure to decide that day.
