Refacing for the O’Hare suburbs

Cabinet refacing in Wood Dale, IL starts at Refacello’s headquarters and design center, just west of O’Hare. Our design and project management teams work from here, and it’s a short drive to most of DuPage County, the northwest suburbs and Chicago’s Northwest Side.

If your days start with an early flight, a shift near the airport or a train into the city, a tear-out remodel is hard to live with. Refacing is easier. There’s no demolition, a typical kitchen is installed in 3–5 days, and the kitchen stays mostly usable while we work.

We replace the doors and drawer fronts, cover the frames and end panels with matching veneer, and install new hinges and hardware on the cabinet boxes you already have. Read more about how cabinet refacing works.

How a refacing project fits around a busy schedule

What happens at each stage, and how much of your time it takes.

  1. In-home consultation

About 60–90 minutes at your kitchen table. The designer measures, shows door samples, swatches and hardware, and leaves a written, itemized quote, often the same day.

  2. Precision measure

Your project manager takes exact measurements of every door, drawer and frame. From here on, that same person is your point of contact.

  3. Made to order

Doors, drawer fronts and veneer are built to those measurements. Allow about 4–6 weeks from final measure to install, which leaves time to plan around travel or a busy stretch at work.

  4. Installation

A typical kitchen takes 3–5 days. Floors and counters are covered, the work area is cleaned every day, and the sink and appliances stay connected, so you can still make coffee before you head out.

  5. Final walk-through

Your project manager goes over every door and drawer with you and adjusts anything that isn’t right before the job is closed out.

Wood Dale cabinet refacing questions

Have a question we didn’t answer? Call (630) 555-0140 or send us a note.

Do I need an appointment to visit the design center?

No. Walk-ins are welcome during open hours. An appointment is recommended if you’d like a designer to sit down with you and go through options in detail.

Do you charge to come out to Elk Grove Village or the Northwest Side?

No. In-home consultations are free and without obligation throughout the area, including Elk Grove Village, Park Ridge, Schaumburg and Chicago’s Northwest Side.

Can I look at countertops at the design center too?

Yes. Quartz, granite, laminate and solid surface samples are on display alongside doors, finishes and hardware. New countertops are templated after the cabinets are refaced; see countertops for timing.

Can installation be scheduled around travel?

Yes. Because doors are made to order over about 4–6 weeks, there’s time to plan installation around trips or busy weeks. Let your project manager know which dates don’t work.

Is St. Charles an option if it’s closer for me?

Yes. Every showroom has doors, finishes, countertops and hardware to see. If you live farther west, the St. Charles showroom may be the easier drive.
