Where we work in Wisconsin

Refacello offers cabinet refacing in Wisconsin across three regions: Madison and the rest of Dane County, Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, and Racine and Kenosha along the lakeshore. Our Madison showroom serves the first, and our New Berlin showroom serves the other two.

Your cabinet boxes stay in place. We replace the doors and drawer fronts, cover the frames and end panels with matching veneer, and install new hinges and hardware. A typical kitchen is installed in 3–5 days, with no demolition.

If you like your layout and the boxes are sound, refacing typically costs 30–50% less than new cabinets of comparable quality. See what cabinet refacing includes.

Wisconsin homes and how refacing fits

A few housing types come up again and again in southern Wisconsin. Each one gets something different out of refacing.

  • Compact galley kitchen with white cabinets and a window over the sink

    City bungalows and duplexes

Older city homes and upper-and-lower flats often have compact kitchens with little room to rearrange. Refacing updates the cabinets inside the footprint you have, and pull-outs and organizers help small cabinets hold more.

Common in: Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, West Allis, Racine, Kenosha

  • Open kitchen with sage green cabinets, a quartz island and a view to the living room

    Post-war ranches and Cape Cods

These kitchens often have solid cabinet boxes and a layout that still works. New doors and drawer fronts, veneered frames and soft-close hinges give them a current look without a tear-out.

Common in: Greenfield, West Allis, New Berlin, Monona, Madison’s east side

  • Warm wood cabinets around a white island with pendant lights

    1990s–2000s subdivision homes

Honey oak raised-panel doors on sturdy boxes are typical. Shaker or slab doors in a painted finish, RTF or a darker veneer change the whole room in 3–5 days of installation.

Common in: Sun Prairie, Verona, Waukesha, Pewaukee, Oak Creek, Pleasant Prairie

  • Open-plan white and gray kitchen with a waterfall island

    Condos and lake homes

In a condo, refacing avoids demolition noise and debris in shared hallways. In a lake house that has been added onto over the years, it puts one door style and finish across old and new cabinets.

Common in: downtown Madison, Milwaukee’s lakefront, Lake Country

Wisconsin cabinet refacing questions

Have a question we didn’t answer? Call (630) 555-0140 or send us a note.

Do you serve all of Wisconsin?

No. We work in the Madison and Dane County area, Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, and Racine and Kenosha. If you’re near the edge of those areas, call and we’ll tell you whether we can take the job.

Is the consultation free in Racine and Kenosha?

Yes. The in-home design consultation is free and without obligation everywhere we work, including Racine and Kenosha, and it ends with a written, itemized quote.

Do you install in winter?

Yes. Refacing is indoor work with no tear-out, so installation goes ahead in any season. Floors are covered while we work, which helps on slushy days.

Can you reface cabinets in a condo?

Yes. Tell your designer about any building or association rules, such as work hours or elevator use, and your project manager will plan the installation around them.

Is the warranty the same in Wisconsin as in Illinois?

Yes. Doors and drawer fronts carry a lifetime limited warranty for the original homeowner, and workmanship is covered for 5 years, in both states. See why homeowners choose Refacello.

See your kitchen with new doors before you commit

A designer comes to your home with door samples, finishes and hardware, measures your cabinets and leaves a written, itemized quote. It’s free, and there’s no pressure to decide that day.

  1. Tell us a little about your kitchen
  2. Pick a time for your in-home design visit
  3. New doors installed in 3–5 days
