Refacello provides kitchen cabinet refacing services in Chicago, its suburbs and Wisconsin, along with the work that usually goes with it. Every service starts from the same idea: keep the cabinet boxes and layout that already work, and replace what you see and touch every day.
Some homeowners only need new doors and pulls. Others want new countertops, a backsplash and an island as well. You can pick one service or combine several; the free in-home consultation is the same either way, and you get a written, itemized quote for exactly what you choose.
Our design center is in Wood Dale, with showrooms in St. Charles, Madison and New Berlin, and our designers come to you anywhere we work. Seeing samples in your own kitchen, against your floors, walls and light, makes the choices much easier.

Cabinet refacing
New doors, drawer fronts and matching veneer on your existing boxes, installed in 3–5 days.

Made-to-order doors, soft-close hinges, knobs, pulls and crown molding.

Quartz, granite, laminate and solid surface, templated after your cabinets are done.

Backsplash
Ceramic, porcelain, glass and stone tile, usually installed in 1–2 days.

Refacing plus added cabinets, an island, counters, sink and lighting.
How the services fit together
When you combine services, the order matters. Each stage is measured against the finished work before it, so projects are always scheduled in this sequence.

Cabinets first
Refacing, new doors and any added cabinets or island go in over about 3–5 days. Doors are made to order beforehand, about 4–6 weeks from the final measure.

Countertop template
With the cabinets finished, the countertops are templated to fit them. Stone tops take about 7–10 days to fabricate.

Countertops, sink and faucet
New tops are installed in about a day, together with a new sink and faucet if you’re replacing them.

Backsplash
Tile goes up on the finished countertop, usually in 1–2 days.

Final walk-through
Your project manager goes over every part of the job with you before it’s closed out.

Which service should I start with?
If the cabinet boxes are solid, start with refacing or new doors, because they set the color of the room. Countertops and backsplash follow, in that order, since each one is fitted to the finished work before it.
Can I combine several services in one project?
Yes. Many kitchens combine refacing with countertops, backsplash or both. One project manager schedules everything in the right order, and you get one written, itemized quote.
How long does a combined project take?
Cabinet installation takes 3–5 days for a typical kitchen. Add about 7–10 days for stone countertop fabrication, a day to install the tops and 1–2 days for the backsplash. Larger remodels usually finish in 1–2 weeks of on-site work.

Can I see materials before I decide?
Yes. Your designer brings door samples, finish swatches and hardware to your home. You can also visit our Wood Dale design center or our showrooms in St. Charles, Madison and New Berlin; walk-ins are welcome during open hours, and appointments are recommended.
